Bodies in Suspense is an ongoing series that explores identity through intuitive and experimental portraiture, where photography becomes a space of dialogue between the physical and the symbolic—between what is visible and what is sensed.

This chapter consists of self-portraits created through an introspective process that examines the body as both subject and language. I’m drawn to gestures and emotions that arise in intimate, unguarded moments, where the body speaks freely and without judgment.

By intervening the photographs by hand, I reconnect with the materiality of photography—bringing it back into the body. Watercolor, with its transparency and fragility, expands the emotional resonance of each image, responding to its inner rhythm like breath. In this process, the image becomes porous, alive—an imprint of movement, vulnerability, and transformation.
